Matt’s practice focuses primarily on municipal financial advisory services, including debt issuance and structuring for general obligation, revenue, and utility bonds, as well as notes and other financing mechanisms. He also provides strategic guidance in tax increment financing (TIF) and economic development initiatives, helping communities leverage financial tools to support growth and long-term fiscal stability.

Prior to joining RFG, Matt gained experience across multiple areas of the financial industry, including personal financial planning and municipal finance, giving him a well-rounded perspective on financial strategy and capital markets. He is a registered municipal advisor and investment advisor, having passed the Series 50, Series 6, Series 63, and Series 65 examinations, and he also holds an Indiana Life insurance license. Matt is additionally a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Matt earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Finance from Ball State University. He remains actively involved in Indiana’s municipal and economic development community, regularly attending and participating in organizations such as Accelerate Indiana Municipalities (AIM), the Indiana Economic Development Association (IEDA), and the Redevelopment Association of Indiana (RAI). Through this involvement, he continues to promote innovative strategies that help municipalities effectively utilize economic development tools to strengthen their financial position and support community growth.
