Eric Reedy is the Founder and Managing Partner of Reedy Financial Group, PC (RFG). Since establishing the firm on January 1, 2009, Eric has led the organization’s strategic vision, guiding the development and execution of firmwide goals while maintaining a strong commitment to exceptional client service and professional growth within the organization. With more than 30 years of experience in public finance and accounting, Eric recognized early in his career the need for a specialized, full-service advisory and accounting firm dedicated to serving local units of government and public utilities.
As Managing Partner, Eric oversees the firm’s strategic development, operational leadership, and client service initiatives, while also focusing on the professional development of RFG’s employees to support the firm’s continued growth and impact. Under his leadership, RFG has expanded to a team of more than twenty professionals, with offices in Indianapolis (Keystone at the Crossing) and Seymour, Indiana, and continues to experience strong demand for its municipal and financial advisory services.
Eric played a central role in establishing the core practice areas that define RFG today, including municipal budgeting, long-term operational and capital financial planning, municipal and investor-owned utility consulting, accounting and bookkeeping services, tax increment financing (TIF), and project funding through bonds, leases, and loan financing. His leadership has helped shape the firm’s reputation for delivering innovative financial solutions and practical guidance to government entities throughout Indiana.
In addition to managing the firm’s day-to-day operations, Eric actively supports client engagements across multiple practice areas. He has served as an expert witness in Indiana trial courts on matters involving public finance and utility operations and has provided depositions to the Indiana Attorney General’s Office, including the Indiana Solicitor General. Eric regularly represents clients before the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF) and the State Board of Accounts (SBOA), and he provides testimony before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) while responding to inquiries from the Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC).
Eric has also helped clients successfully secure State Revolving Fund (SRF) financing, represented clients before the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) on regulatory matters, and has provided testimony before the Indiana General Assembly on issues affecting municipal finance and utilities.
He remains actively engaged in professional development and industry leadership, participating in organizations and educational programs that enhance the firm’s ability to serve public-sector clients. His continuing education includes programs through the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), American Water Works Association (AWWA), Michigan State University’s Institute of Public Utilities Regulatory Ratemaking Course, and the Indiana CPA Society.
Eric is also a member of Accelerate Indiana Municipalities (AIM), the Association of Indiana Counties (AIC), the Indiana Association of County Commissioners (IACC), the Indiana Rural Sewer District Association, and the Indiana Rural Water Association. He regularly provides professional education and training for Indiana mayors, council members, clerk-treasurers, and city attorneys at AIM conferences and other statewide events.
Eric earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Ball State University in 1992 and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
